Sarasota County's IntegraClick Wins Governor's Award

Twenty Florida companies, including Sarasota County’s IntegraClick, received the Governor’s Business Diversification Award on September 15 in Tallahassee, Fla. The award recognizes exceptional contributions toward statewide economic diversification through job creation and distinctive community involvement and investment. The company was recognized as the EDC’s Technology Company of the Year at the Hall of Fame Awards in 2008.

The EDC will recognize outstanding local businesses at the Hall of Fame Awards Luncheon on Friday, Sept. 25, 11:30 a.m., The Ritz-Carlton Sarasota.

Representative of EDC Investor Osprey Biotechnics Appointed to Statewide Biotechnical Council
 Florida's Banner Center for Biotechnology has appointed Dr. Christopher J. Reuter, technical director of Osprey Biotechnics, Inc., Sarasota, to serve on its Advisory Council. The Biotechnology Center is part of the University of Florida's Center for Excellence for Regenerative Health Biotechnology in Alachua, FL.  Its primary role is to serve as a catalyst for building infrastructure to support Florida's growing biotechnology-based industry.

Global Economic Forecast and Trade Resources Expo Sept. 24

Enterprise Florida and the Florida District Export Council  will host a Global Economic Forecast, followed by the first-ever Trade Resources Expo on Sept. 24 at the Tampa International Airport Board Room.   Guest speakers will discuss: the end of the global economic downturn, growth opportunities overseas, and how to position companies to benefit.  The cost is $10.
