Incubator Planned for the Area
The EDCs of Sarasota and Manatee counties are working with the University of South Florida, Sarasota-Manatee and other regional partners to create a business incubator in the region.
View a SNN6 clip on the subject. To learn more, contact Kathy Baylis.
EDC Investors Needed to Make Calls The EDC is in the midst of a direct mail campaign to CEOs of select businesses in areas of the Northeast and Midwest that produce many visitors to Sarasota County. We affectionately call this project Operation Snow-to-Sand. Though the direct mail pieces are eye catching, and the horrible snow storms in the targeted regions couldn't have been timed better, there is no substitute for personal touch.
If you are willing to make "cold calls" to businesses as part of this campaign, please contact Emily Sperling, EDC Community Relations Director. A training session for callers is schedule for March 19, 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Advance notice of your participation is required.
